The District Science Centre, Dharampur, Located in the deep tribal belt has thrown open new avenues for exploration to the people of remote part of remote part of South Gujarat. Having a natural picturesque background, the centre has many attractive facets.

The focus of the centre has been on the natural and environmental reserves and the cultural heritage of the region. The Centre is continuously engaged in the service of the Surrounding tribal communities and carries out the task of harnessing appropriate technologies For the inhabitants, thus improving their lifestyle and consciousness.

District Science Centre was opened for the public on 27th April 1984.
